The Stables - thE 5 runs through iT

Oil 7x9
Back painting with fellow intrepid plein air trouper.. Jennifer - we revisited the Riverside Riding Stables. She captured a small stand of trees, old car, and horse trailer while I took on a trailer, trashbin and lovely mountain backdrop. The weather was flawlessly beautiful and the painting muse agreeable. I'm happy with this painting and I think it presents a little bit different style... perhaps.

Keewon.. great to see you at your show last night. Now those are some real landscapes.. rendered with the master's hand. Completely blown away by your figure and landscape work - you do it all.

I agree with Ron. The colors are quite delectable and I really like the exaggerated low horizon viewpoint.
By the way, thank you for the encouragement and support at the demo!

I like when you chage things up a bit. I think the mountains look cool. Just goes to show, it's not how many brushstrokes, it's how you use them.

Thx Grimm.... It is nice to have a few new tricks up my sleeve. Got to trot the street vikings out a little at a time.

Thx Jennifer! We got lucky to have such a beautiful day and minimal to zero angst. Both of us got off a good one. Your workshop was a success and you should be very proud of it. That kind of crowd has a short attention span and you kept them drawn in nicely. I would think you will have some lucrative opportunities to do more workshops in the future.

I like everything about it ...the crop, the big sky and the the variety of color in the mountains supports the visual focus on the bright trailer and the contrast of the dark fence. Your personal best, take a bow.

Thx Will... I had fun doing this one - one of those free pass days. I had a streak of scrapers when I first got back from my December trip. The last few weeks have been good ones... bowing now...
